*** ALL TRAILERS MUST REMAIN ON THE BITUMEN AT ALL TIMES, FAILURE TO DO SO CONSTITUTES A MAJOR BREACH OF THE HIRE CONTRACT!
*** HIRERS MUST DECLARE THEIR EXACT DESTINATION, ROUTE AND USE OF THE HIRE VEHICLE FOR DEPOSIT AND INSURANCE REASONS, FAILURE TO DO SO OR ATTEMPT TO DECEIVE THE COMPANY IS A MAJOR BREACH OF CONTRACT.
*** The Hirer must notify Us of ALL Damages, Accidents and or Maintenance Issues Immediately, or as soon as possible to the owner 24/7 on 0438382666. STOP THE VEHICLE - DO NOT CONTINUE DRIVING THE VEHICLE unless written approval is given via sms - IF YOU CONTINUE DRIVING THIS CONSTITUTES A MAJOR BREACH OF CONTRACT!
1) TRAILER HIRE fee will be: HIRE FEE + BOND = ?????Trailer Hire Fees and Bond can be paid in CASH or bond only can be put on credit card and the bond is $200 for 1-2 days hire, $500 for 3 or more days hire or interstate travel and $1000 for long term hire. The Bond is fully refunded* when equipment is returned by the due date and time, clean and undamaged.
2) "TRAILER HIRE CONTRACT" - on the day of "Hire" you will pay "Hire Fees" plus the "Hire Bond". Then the "HIRE Contract" is signed by you and you will be given a copy of the signed contract at the time of pickup or delivery of the Hired Equipment. Hire Agreement paperwork is done by us here at our yard on the day of hire, you can read it or download the agreement to read prior to signing on the day of pickup. 3) ID - DRIVERS LICENCE and CREDIT (or DEBIT) CARD are mandatory for the Hire Agreement Contract and both physical cards and the owners of both cards (or authorised signatory of a business or corporate card) must be present to sign the Hire Agreement Contract at commencement of hiring trailers. Clear proof of identity and current QLD residential address must be established before the hire can take place. This is for the safety and security of our staff when you attend our address to hire the trailers and also required for the 100 points of ID with signing for a credit card debit authority for the "Trailer Hire Contract". 4) HIRE REQUIRMENTS:a) "MINIMUM & MANDATORY" - A “PHYSICAL” (not digital) Drivers License (DL) and a Credit or Debit Card (CC/DC) are mandatory for the Trailer Rental Agreement for insurance reasons, both physical cards and the owners of those DL and CC/DC (or authorised signatory of a business or corporate card) must be physically present to sign the Trailer Rental Agreement at the booked Trailer Rental Pickup Appointment time agreed. Bond can ONLY be paid by Credit or Debit Card at time of booking as a booking deposit.b) All Driver MUST be minimum 25yrs or over and under 75 years of age and have had more than 12mths driving experience in Australia on an Australian OPEN Drivers Licence and NO "P" plate drivers. c) The Hirer requires clear proof of QLD permanent residency. d) The “DRIVER” as the “HIRER”, must initiate and finalise the booking themselves as the person driving, picking up and returning the truck, they must have their own personal phone number and mobile phone that is capable of sending and receiving SMS and MMS messages to complete our booking process that is done only by sms, and must be contactable during the whole Hire period? e) The Hirer must be capable of READING and UNDERSTANDING the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS and their CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS at T&Cs link below, and agrees to obtain PPE before Hiring and wear as required, including ENCLOSED SHOES or BOOTS at all times during the hire period, at our yard, this includes helpers? www.cheapaway.com.au/truck-terms-conditionsf) Hirer must be able to read and understand English and disseminate contractual information themselves. All learning, comprehension and reading difficulties must be declared at beginning of hire booking? Thankyou. g) To Hire/Drive/Operate our Equipment you must have ZERO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS in your system that will impede your ability to always operate the equipment safely during the hire. We reserve the right to request "Breath Test or Drug Test" before you take possession of hired Equipment if our staff suspect use. www.cheapaway.com.au/privacy-policyh) By Acknowledgement of these conditions of hire, you agree that ALL HIRES ARE DONE STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and ALL timings give in sms are APPOINTMENT TIMES you must be capable of meeting, and that the "HIRER" is the only person authorised to pickup, operate, clean and return the equipment to the original hire pickup location!!! i) Preferred pickup and return timings are between 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm daily.
5) FEES / CHARGES - for current pricing, please see our "TRAILER HIRE" page from the menu bar. This website is the master site for costing of fees and charges, other ads prices may differ but this sites costing overrules other ads and sites. Fees and charge can change without notice. Credit Card transaction incur a 3.3% credit card fee on the total amount charged. Trailer Hire fees are not refunded if you willingly return the TRAILER early for whatever reason including act of god and you will not receive any credit towards another rehire or credit in leu. If You return the Vehicle: (a) after the date and time set for its return in the Rental Agreement, we will charge you $25 per 30 minutes after the return time up to one full day's rental and a further full day's rental at the standard rate for each 24 hour period or part thereof until the Vehicle is returned to Us; or (b) at any time, other than during Our normal business hours You must pay for the daily Rental Charges and all Damage until the Rental Location next opens for business. We do not do return condition reports in the dark or low light in the opinion of CHEAPaWAY Hire Staff. *OUTSTANDING FEES / CHARGES / DEBT COLLECTION: - All hire fees and charges are to be paid upfront by the hirer or card holder before Hire. All additional fee and charges are required to be paid directly after return of the Hired Equipment. Outstanding Debt for hire fees, losses or damages - as per Hire Agreement, the Hirer or Card Holder is liable for all outstanding charges for hire fees, losses or damages at the Hirers or Card Holders expense. Fees and charges that remain outstanding require payment within 24hrs, then any outstanding fee or charges will be invoiced on a 7day invoice term attracting a $54.50 Administration Fee. Card Debit or Invoice Payment Failure will result in immediate legal financial recovery action after the required 7days and then will be sent to DEBT Collection where we will add an additional Collection Lodgement Fee of $152.70 to your account before being sent to collection. The Collection Agency then add their 33% to your account and all recovery cost including but not limited to, interest and if necessary, Bailiffs and Court cost to recover the full amount. This is agreed to by you by entering into a contract by way of payment of our "Booking Deposit" arrangements and or by the signing our "Hire Agreement Contract" by payment default, "National Collection Services" debt recovery initiated at Hirers or Card Holders expense, including but not limited to recovery fees, collection fee, bailiff fees and Court Costs to recover all money owed. Please see your copy of the "Hire Agreement" for further information on your obligations. 6) *DISCOUNTS = 10% Off* RACQ Members - 10% Off* Defence ADF / Emergency Services. *Off Regular Rates only, not including any other discount or specials. *To receive and be eligible to receive discount, hirer must inform staff at beginning of booking process for eligibility check, and at pickup when signing Hire Agreement Contracts, must produce "physical evidence" of a valid Membership or valid Official Government ID Cards. (Emergency Service - QPS, QAS, QFS, RFS, SES) 7) INSURANCE - All damages, motor vehicle accidents and losses including theft are the responsibility of the "HIRER" at retail replacement + labour cost to repair and or replace the Equipment as set out in the Hire Agreement Contract. (If in doubt check your comprehensive car insurance for the amount you are covered for in a motor vehicle accident as a towable on your insurance to find out what you are and not covered for... If you feel you need insurance ask us for the registration details of the trailer your hiring for you to request a cover note from your insurance company.) NO "DG" (Dangerous Goods) are to be put in or transported in the hired trailer at any time and if needed must be transport in ANOTHER VEHICLE, this includes but is not limited to Fuels, Oils, Lubricants, Gasses, Corrosives, or chemicals of any kind. 8) HOLDING SERVICE FEE / BOOKING DEPOSIT / BOND - Booking deposit is paid upfront at time of booking by Credit or Debit Card ONLY as a booking deposit to hold/reserve the Equipment for you in advance and BECOMES YOUR BOND on the day and time of pickup once you sign the Hire Agreement Contract. By payment of the Holding Deposit Service Fees you agree to enter into a written contract that you are financially responsible for the trailer hire and any damages either as contract vehicle driver or financial delegate or both and are liable for any damages or losses during the hire period, you agree that you are refunded only if the Hire takes place on the original date and appointment time of hire or you can move dates with more than 48hrs notice from original pickup date and time to an available date. lf the hirer does not turn up within 1hr of the original booked date and appointment time, or the hirer voluntarily cancels the booking, or you book and turn up without meeting the minimum hire requirements and the booking has to be cancelled, the holding fee minus the original quoted hire fee is forfeited and the remaining amount will be refunded. The quoted hire fees forfeited will be used to recoup lost hire fees from clients that were rejected because of your existing booking. All payment cards must be linked to your accounts that can send and receive funds back for Bond refunds and our deposit system can only send funds back to original account they initially came from!* Bond refund can take 3-14 business days to return to your account after refund is completed when trailer returns after subsequent hire , please allow in budgeting, see our T&Cs below for full details and exclusions. The hirer must arrive to collect the trailer with a vehicle capable of towing the total GVM of trailer safely in the opinion of CHEAPaWAY Staff as part of the Hire Requirements. 9) RETURNING OF TRAILERS 1) Trailers must be returned by due date and time to the pickup location or fees apply. 2) Trailers must be returned clean inside and out as instructed in handover brief and must be swept out before return to our yard. 3) Trailers refuelled within 10km radius from depot (must produce receipt). 4) All accessories refurbished as they were initially hired, if applicable, as at time of pickup. 5) Equipment including Trailers must return clean and undamaged in the same condition as at the start time of hire. *We do not do return condition reports after hours or in low light, they will be done the next business day. *Fees and charges are applicable as per Hire Agreement Schedule, if 1-5 are not adhered to, see Hire Agreement. *If you FAIL to return the Trailer by is contracted return date and time and/or within the 30 minutes window before the next hire period when the Trailers are ment to be cleaned, sanitised and refurbished before next hire, where we cant met the next hire booked booking time and/or next booking is cancelled by the client or we have to cancel due to your actions, you will be charged the next Hirers Hire fees as scheduled due to our loss of income. 10) 3.5T GVM TIPPER TRAILER - This trailer requires an "Anderson Plug Connection" or available "Axillary Battery" to run and allow the electric over hydraulic ram system to tip trailer. DO NOT operate without a secondary battery source as instructed buy issuing staff. DO NOT tip the trailer on uneven ground as it could fall over or bend the chassis frame. DO NOT LOAD LARGE HEAVY ROCK OR SLABS OF CONCRETE into the trailer as this will damage the trailer and could warp or crack the trailer floor, sides, rails, and tailgate also removing the galvanised surface causing Major Breach of Contract due to excessive damage. These types of damage are not fair wear and tear and will be repaired at the Hirers or Card Holders Expense. 11) 2T GVM HORSE FLOAT - DO NOT use high pressure washers to clean the outer surface paint or rubber flooring in the float under any circumstances This can lift paint and rubber flooring which this type of damage is not fair wear and tear and will be repaired at the Hirers or Card Holders Expense.
12) *PREFERRED TRAILER PICKUP and RETURN TIMINGS (By Appointment only)~ Weekdays 8am - 9am & 4pm - 5pm (or by pre-arranged times by appointment).~ Weekends 8am - 9am & 4pm - 5pm (or by pre-arranged times by appointment).~ Public Holidays - by pre-arranged times by appointment. 13) ABUSE = ZERO TOLERANCE to Verbal and Physical Abuse - Due to the current demanding and stressful covid times there has been an increase of verbal and physical abuse to our staff that will no longer be tolerated. You as a client expect to be treated with respect and dignity without abusive or aggressive behaviour as do our staff. If you do not follow direction either verbal or written and dont read something, make a mistake, are late returning hire equipment, or you break, damage or lose something = "OWN IT".... be mad at yourself after you leave, do not take it out on our staff at our yard or on the phone. By entering into this written contract by making a “Booking Deposit Payment” or signing the “Rental Hire Agreement Contract” you agree you're are aware of this Policy and if you become abusive, aggressive and or disrespectful or raise your voice where our staff feel uncomfortable in any way, you are in "Major Breach of Contract". As per our "Privacy Policy" webpage all phone conversations are recorded and our yard has CCTV recording 24/7 and our staff may wear body cameras within this Policy. www.cheapaway.com.au/privacy-policyYOU and anyone with you will be told to leave the property immediately and if necessary QPS will be called.Normal "Client Cancellation Policies" will apply to booking clients and take affect where your booking will be cancelled, your hire fees will be forfeited from you bond and the remainder refunded back to you. For clients after Hire Return of equipment becoming abusive or aggressive will simply lose your bond entirely for "Major Breach of Contract". If you do not agree with this policy no hire can take place and for any clarification of this Abuse Policy please direct enquiries to management in writing before commencing any booking processes or signing any contract or hiring any equipment. For clients after Hire Return of equipment becoming abusive or aggressive will simply lose your bond entirely for "Major Breach of Contract". If you do not agree with this policy no hire can take place and for any clarification of this Abuse Policy please direct enquiries to management in writing before commencing any booking processes or signing any contract or hiring any equipment. CHEAPaWAY HIRE Booking Process (5 - 10 minutes)
1. You first call us for availability of hire equipment for the date/s you require and we inform you if the equipment is available on your required day/s and give you instruction briefly on this booking process.
2. We will then send you an SMS requesting you for a photo of your drivers licence front and rear to be sent to our business mobile number of 0438382666 for 100 points of ID. Once we receive your licence we then check that it is current and you're licenced for the hired equipment and if hiring a truck you are 25+ to hire trucks for insurance reasons. Your information is also required to be transcribed to the hire agreement when you come to collect.
3. We will then send you a link to our "Holding Fee" Webpage where you will be required to as soon as practical (within a few hours depending on how soon the hire date is away) via the link, pay the Holding Fee to "COMPLETE THE BOOKING PROCESS" and lock in your hired equipment to you on the date you require it. You then must inform us via sms that you have completed the booking payment.
**NB: Until you have paid the holding fee and contacted us via SMS, your booking is only "Pencilled in" as "Tentative”, and can be taken at any time prior if another hirer books and pay their holding fee before you do. Unfortunately we cannot hold equipment just in case you decide to complete the booking process or not and pay the holding fee within a reasonable timeframe depending on the time until the hire date. Hiring the next day will require immediate holding fee payment. Hiring a week away will give you a day or two to pay the holding fee. There is no set timeframe given and ultimately it is up to CHEAPaWAY Staff when is a reasonable time given with reminders to give away your tentative booking. Simply put, "first in, first served".
4. We will then send you a final "CONFIRMATION BOOKING" SMS containing your Booked Pickup or Delivery APPOINTMENT Time and Date, your Return APPOINTMENT Date and Time. Also our pickup address and instructions on where to park and what to do when you arrive on the hire day. You will receive notification directing you to the "TERMS AND CONDITION" below for you to read the relevant T&Cs of your hired equipment and acknowledge back to us via SMS that you "AGREE & ACKNOWLEDGE" the T&C"s of hire and pickup requirements.
*** We ONLY USE phone calls and SMS as a means of Business Communication for security reasons, anyone could be on the other end of an email address or FaceBook profile posing as you, so we must verify your identity prior to the booking being completed and you arriving at our address for the safety of our staff.

CHEAPaWAY HIRE Pickup Process (15 - 25 minutes)
1. On the day of pickup you will park where you were directed to in your "Confirmation Booking" SMS and we will come out to you, please do not enter the property unless you are invited or you are waiting to hire one of our trucks or motorhomes.
2. Our staff will ask you for you Drivers Licence and Credit or Debit Card to complete the Hire contract. DRIVERS LICENCE and CREDIT (or DEBIT) CARD which are mandatory for hire contract and both physical cards and the owners of both cards must be present to sign at commencement of hiring our equipment. Clear proof of identity and current QLD residential address must be established before the hire can take place. This is for the safety and security of our staff when you attend our address to hire the equipment and it is also required for the 100 points of ID with a credit or debit card for the "Rental Hire Agreement". For Interstate Travel with our equipment you must supply a Credit Cards NOT Debit Cards for the Hire Agreement. Drivers Licence and Debit / Credit cards will be physically required to take copies of ID and BANK CARDS with the contract after you have signed the Agreement Contract as proof of ID and authorisation to Debit in the event of Losses, Damages or an accident. They will be returned to you before you leave when picking up the truck once staff have completed their processes.
3. Our staff will then go through the condition report of the Hired Equipment noting and damages or missing accessories as applicable to the equipment type. Different standards of condition are acceptable between trucks to trailers to excavation equipment and party hire electrical equipment. The staff member will explain this as part of the condition report and discuss your responsibilities and what is fair wear and tear and what you will be liable for in any incident. This will include the return process and cleaning requirements as per above sections on individual hired equipment such as motorhomes, coldrooms and spit rotisseries.
4. You will then sign for the accessories of the equipment and any extras, the condition report, the contract itself and an acknowledgement to our Terms and Conditions of Hire. The Hirer will be given a copy of the signed contract pages via SMS(MMS) at the time of pickup or delivery of the Hired Equipment. 5. You will then pay "Hire Fees" plus the "Hire Bond" all in cash, (bond can be put on credit card). 6. For Trailers our staff will ask you a series of question about your experience using the equipment and ensure you have read the safety sheet before you can tow the equipment. Staff will then give you tips on connecting and removing the trailer from your vehicle and daily maintenance. You will be told that you are responsible for your safety and everyone else in the work areas and that any damages and injuries are on you the hirer. 7. Our staff will check you have connected the trailer yourself correctly and check your lights are working before you leave.
*** Our staff will be carrying video and audio recording devices on their person to record the complete hire process and the condition report of the hired equipment for a visual and audible record when the hirer is signing a Legal Hire Agreement. It is also for the safety of our staff. There will also be other security surveillance cameras around the property recording at all times. Please see our "Privacy Policy" at the bottom of this page.
