*** The Hirer must notify Us of ALL Damages, Accidents and or Maintenance Issues Immediately, or as soon as possible to the owner 24/7 on 0438382666. STOP THE VEHICLE - DO NOT CONTINUE DRIVING THE VEHICLE unless written approval is given via sms - IF YOU CONTINUE DRIVING THIS CONSTITUTES A "MAJOR BREACH OF CONTRACT"!
***Commercial Vehicle = 0.00 Alcohol / No Drugs, Enclosed Shoes worn at all times, NO Children / NO Animals, nor articles of Furniture or Personal Effect allowed in the Cab of the Hire Truck, these must all be stowed in the rear pantech of the truck.
2) "TRUCK HIRE AGREEMENT" - on the day of "Hire" you will pay "Hire Fees" plus the "Hire Bond” ($500 Standard Bond for travel within QLD - Bond for Interstate travel is $1000 and is to be disclosed at booking before payment of the booking deposit). Then the "HIRE Agreement" is signed by you and you will be given a copy of the signed contract at the time of pickup or delivery of the Hired Equipment. The Hire Agreement paperwork is done by us here at our yard on the day of hire, you can read it or download the agreement to read prior to signing on the day of pickup. (*day rates are 8am to 5pm daily, but you can hire overnight at a small additional fee of half the normal daily hire rate. E.g.: 8am to 7am the next day or 5pm to 4:30pm the next day.)
3) BOOKING & HIRING - Due to Insurance and Liability, "THE HIRE" as the "DRIVER" picking up and DRIVING THE TRUCK must initiate and complete the booking process themselves from their own personal mobile phone number to show a clear "Intent to Hire" for legal and insurance purposes... The booking process is done wholly by SMS as it is the only secure way and means these days for privacy and security of information. You as the hirer sending us personal information to complete the booking from your registered personal mobile phone number through an Australian phone provider so there is no doubt in identity of us nor you... Hirer booking the truck must have their own personal mobile phone number that is capable of sending and receiving SMS and MMS messages to complete our booking process.
*** HIRER WHEN BOOKING IS THE "DRIVER" AND THE PERSON THAT MUST INITIATE AND COMPLETE THE BOOKING PROCESS VIA SMS FROM THEIR OWN PERSONAL MOBILE PHONE NUMBER AS DIRECTED BY THE COMPANY. ANY ATTEMPT TO DECEIVE OR COMMIT A FRAUDULENT ACT OR FUNCTION AS ANOTHER PERSON TO DECEIVE AND / OR RECEIVE A GAIN WILL BE CLASSED AS AN UNLAWFUL ACT AND "MAJOR BREACH OF CONTRACT" AND AS SUCH OFFENDERS WILL FORFEIT THEIR BOOKING AND / OR BOND OR PART THERE OF DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF THE BREACH AS SEEN BY THE COMPANY AS NOT MEETING HIRE REQUIREMENTS OR T&Cs OF HIRE UNDER "T&Cs" AND / OR “BOOKING DEPOSITS / BONDS” IN T&Cs AND OUR PRIVACY POLICY ON OUR WEBSITE. IF IT IS A FRAUDULANT ACT QPS WILL BE CALLED!
4) ID & Credit Card - Drivers Licence (DL) and Credit Card (CC) are mandatory for the Truck Rental Agreement and both physical cards and the owners of the DL and CC (or authorised signatory of a business or corporate card) must be present to sign the Truck Rental Agreement at commencement of Rental. Clear proof of identity and current QLD residential address must be established before the hire can take place. 100 points of ID is required for the equipment "Hire Agreement". A credit or debit card will be required to be added to the Truck Rental Agreement at time of signing and the owner or authorised signatory of the credit or debit card must sign debt authority for any subsequent fees, or insurance excess amount above the bond amount held upto the $2000 amount if the Truck is damaged in a motor vehicle accident or stolen during the hire period. This amount is listed in the rental agreement. ALL designated drivers must be 25+ years old and under 75 years old and have had more than 12mths driving experience in Australia on an Australian OPEN Drivers Licence. 5) CHEAPaWAY TRUCK HIRE REQUIREMENTS a) "MINIMUM & MANDATORY" - A “PHYSICAL” Drivers License (DL) and a Credit or Debit Card (CC/DC) are mandatory for the Truck Rental Agreement for insurance reasons, both physical cards and the owners of those DL and CC/DC (or authorised signatory of a business or corporate card) must be physically present to sign the Truck Rental Agreement at the booked Truck Rental Pickup Appointment time agreed. b) All Driver MUST be minimum 25yrs or over and under 75 years of age and have had more than 12mths driving experience in Australia on an Australian OPEN Drivers Licence and NO "P" plate drivers. or third party damages, or infringements during the hire period. Your licence or the licence of any Additional Driver hasn't been cancelled at all within the last 2 years?c) The Hirer requires clear proof of QLD permanent residency. d) The “DRIVER” as the “HIRER”, must initiate and finalise the booking themselves as the person driving, picking up and returning the truck, they must have their own personal phone number and mobile phone that is capable of sending and receiving SMS and MMS messages to complete our booking process that is done only by sms, and must be contactable during the whole Hire period? e) The Hirer must be capable of READING and UNDERSTANDING the SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS and their CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS at T&Cs link below, and agrees to obtain PPE before Hiring and wear as required, including ENCLOSED SHOES or BOOTS and be fully clothed at all times during the hire period, in our vehicles, at our yard, this includes helpers? www.cheapaway.com.au/truck-terms-conditionsf) Hirer must be able to read and understand English and disseminate contractual information themselves. All learning, comprehension and reading difficulties must be declared at beginning of hire booking? Thankyou. g) To Hire/Drive/Operate our Equipment you must have ZERO ALCOHOL OR ILLEGAL DRUGS in your system that will impede your ability to always operate the equipment safely during the hire. We reserve the right to request "Breath Test or Drug Test" before you take possession of hired Equipment if our staff suspect use. www.cheapaway.com.au/privacy-policyh) By Acknowledgement of these conditions of hire, you agree that ALL HIRES ARE DONE STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENT ONLY and ALL timings give in sms are APPOINTMENT TIMES you must be capable of meeting, and that the "HIRER" is the only person authorised to pickup, operate, clean and return the equipment to the original hire pickup location!!! i) Preferred pickup and return timings are between 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm daily.
6) INSURANCE, DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND INJURIES (Dry hire) - as the hirer, you are fully responsible for all damages to rental vehicles, property, services, third party property and any injuries that occur during the hire period including loss of income to CHEAPAWAY due to Trucks unhirable condition and or any downtime at the standard daily hire rate amount. ANY FAILURE to comply fully with any of the below insurance requirements during hire constitutes a MAJOR BREACH OF CONTRACT* and penalties will apply! (* see downloadable Contract T&Cs document above) FUSO PANTECH'S 265AN5, 337YJT HEIGHT IS = 3.2m (4500kg GVM). IVECO PANTECH 308VRE HEIGHT IS = 3.4m(4500kg GVM). Insurance Excess applies on motor vehicle accidents only being $2000 at fault or not. If you are found not at fault through the investigation of the insurance company you will be refunded the $2000 excess.EXCLUSIONS TO INSURANCE - The Hirer must pay for all Overhead Damage; Reversing Damage; Underbody Damage, including stone damage from unsealed roads and going off-road; Damage caused by the immersion of the Vehicle in water; all Damage arising from a Major Breach of the Rental Contract; and pay for all damages from insect, animal, bird, or object including Vandalism, Financial losses from Government imposed Sanctions or Pandemics or Epidemics, Terrorism or Act of God. NO ANIMALS, birds, fish, or reptiles are to be transported in our hire vehicle either in the Pantech or in the Cabin of the trucks. An Additional $200 cleaning fee applies in addition to the standard cleaning fee if this occurs and an such remnants is found including physical or smells in the opinion of our staff. Any animal hair, feathers or excrement due to other people’s allergies. No dangerous goods of any kind are to be transported in our vehicles, including being petrol’s, oils, lubricants, solvent’s, acids, gases or corrosives. See Hire Agreement at link below at the bottom of this section for full detail of Inclusions and Exclusions which constitutes a Major Breach of Contract. NO "DG" (Dangerous Goods) are to be put in or transported in the hired truck at any time and if needed must be transport in ANOTHER VEHICLE, this includes but is not limited to Fuels, Oils, Lubricants, Gasses, Corrosives, or chemicals of any kind. NO Children or Infants in our trucks as these are commercial vehicles with airbags and can cause injury to minors in an accident. Commercial Vehicle = 0.00 Alcohol / No Drugs, Enclosed Shoes worn at all times, No Children / Animals nor articles of Furniture or Personal Effect allowed in the Cab of the Hire Truck at any time. An additional driver is only that, and is a driver to assist you with driving (for example: long trip over multiple days or interstate). You as the hirer, must be physically in the vehicle at all time in full supervision of the addition driver whist they are driving under your hire contract agreement and you agree as the hirer, you are fully responsible for any damages, losses or third party damages, or infringements during the hire period. It is the Hirer obligation under OH&S to agree to obtain their own PPE at the hirers expense before Hiring and wear as required, including ENCLOSED SHOES or BOOTS and be fully clothed at all times during the hire period, in our vehicles, at our yard, this includes ensuring your paid or unpaid helpers wear their own required PPE (see link below). https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/safety-and-prevention/creating-safe-work/managing-risks/personal-protective-equipment-ppe FUSO's NOT SUITABLE FOR "GENERAL FREIGHT" = See Option 2 Truck. Fuso 515 Pantech's do not have heavy tie down points required for general freight securing and using these trucks for general freight and tying down to composite pane wall bars or rails can and will pull rails off the walls causing load shift or damage embedded fixing plates in composite board wall causing structural damage = Breach of Contract! 7) RETURNING OF TRUCKS a) Trucks must be returned by due date and time to the pickup location or fees apply. b) Trucks must be returned clean inside Cab and rear Pantech as instructed in handover brief and must be swept out before return to our yard. c) Trucks refuelled within 10km radius from depot (must produce receipt). d) All accessories refurbished as they were initially hired, being blankets folded and stack, straps and trolleys stowed as at time of pickup. e) Equipment including truck must return clean and undamaged in the same condition as at the start time of hire. f) We do not do return condition reports after hours or in low light, they will be done the next business day. g) Fees and charges applicable as per Hire Agreement Schedule, if 1-5 are not adhered to, see Hire Agreement link below. h) If you FAIL to return the truck by is contracted return date and time and/or within the 30 minutes window before the next hire period when the trucks are meant to be cleaned, sanitised and refurbished before next hire, where we cant met the next hire booked booking time and/or next booking is cancelled by the client or we have to cancel due to your actions, you will be charged the next Hirers Hire fees as scheduled due to our loss of income (see fees/charges below).
8) FEES / CHARGES - for current Pricing, please see our "Truck Hire" page from the menu bar. Fees and charge can change without notice. Day Rates are from 8am - 5pm weekdays and 8am - 5pm Weekend or Public Holidays and is the minimum charge. Overnight is an extra charge of $100 rate. Overnight is free if you hire multiple consecutive days. A credit card (or debit cards) will be required to be added to contract details at time of signing to debit and pay for any tolls or fines, all damages, and losses of equipment up to insurance excess of equipment and any refuelling of equipment. Credit Card transactions incur a 3.3% credit card fee on the total amount charged. If You return the Vehicle: (a) with a full tank of diesel, without refuelling the truck at the designated fuel stations as discussed within the 10km radius from our yard at either Peak Crossing Ampol or Willowbank United you will be charged a $56.32 refuel fee plus the fuel cost to top up the truck; (b) after the date and time set for its return in the Rental Agreement, we will charge you $25 per 30 minutes after the return time up to one full day's rental and a further full day's rental at the standard rate for each 24-hour period or part thereof until the Vehicle is returned to Us unless booked the next client hire fee charges apply; or (c) at any time, other than during Our normal business hours You must pay for the daily Rental Charges and all Damage until the Rental Location next opens for business. We do not do return condition reports in the dark or low light in the opinion of CHEAPaWAY Hire Staff. Truck Hire fees are not refunded if you willingly return the Truck early for whatever reason including act of god and you will not receive any credit towards another rehire or credit in leu. A Major Breach of Contract means a breach of any of the Clauses of the Hire Agreement Contract that constitutes Illegal or Prohibited Use, Dangerous Act, Deliberate Act, Deception, Fraud or causes Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss and you will lose your bond amount and the vehicle will be seized. 9) *DISCOUNTS = 10% Off* RACQ Members - 10% Off* Defence ADF / Emergency Services. *Off Regular Rates only, not including any other discount or specials. *To receive and be eligible to receive discount, hirer must inform staff at beginning of booking process for eligibility check, and at pickup when signing Hire Agreement Contracts, must produce "physical evidence" of a valid Membership or valid Official Government ID Cards. (Emergency Service - QPS, QAS, QFS, RFS, SES) 10) OUTSTANDING FEES / CHARGES / DEBT COLLECTION: - All hire fees and charges are to be paid upfront by the hirer or card holder before Hire. All additional fee and charges are required to be paid directly after return of the Hired Equipment. Outstanding Debt for hire fees, losses or damages - as per Hire Agreement, the Hirer or Card Holder is liable for all outstanding charges for hire fees, losses or damages at the Hirers or Card Holders expense. Fees and charges that remain outstanding require payment within 24hrs, then any outstanding fee or charges will be invoiced on a 7day invoice term attracting a $54.50 Administration Fee. Card Debit or Invoice Payment Failure will result in immediate legal financial recovery action after the required 7days and then will be sent to DEBT Collection where we will add an additional Collection Lodgement Fee of $152.70 to your account before being sent to collection. The Collection Agency then add their 33% to your account and all recovery cost including but not limited to, interest and if necessary, Bailiffs and Court cost to recover the full amount. This is agreed to by you by entering into a contract by way of payment of our "Booking Deposit" arrangements and or by the signing of our "Hire Agreement Contract" by payment default, "National Collection Services" debt recovery initiated at Hirers or Card Holders expense, including but not limited to recovery fees, collection fee, bailiff fees and Court Costs to recover all money owed. Please see your copy of the "Hire Agreement" for further information on your obligations. 11) BOOKING DEPOSIT / BOND - Booking deposit is paid upfront at time of booking by Credit or Debit Card ONLY as a booking deposit to hold/reserve the truck for you in advance and BECOMES YOUR BOND on the day and time of pickup once you sign the Hire Agreement Contract. By payment of the Holding Deposit Service Fees you agree to enter into a written contract that you are financially responsible for the truck hire and any damages either as contract vehicle driver or financial delegate or both and are liable for any damages or losses during the hire period, and that you agree you are refunded only if the Hire takes place on the original date and appointment time of hire or you can move dates with more than 48hrs notice from original pickup date and time to an available date. lf the hirer does not turn up within 30 minutes of the original booked date and appointment time, or the hirer voluntarily cancels the booking, or you book and turn up without meeting the minimum hire requirements and the booking has to be cancelled, the holding fee minus the original quoted hire fee is forfeited and the remaining amount will be refunded. The quoted hire fees forfeited will be used to recoup lost hire fees from clients that were rejected because of your existing booking. All payment cards must be linked to your accounts that can send and receive funds back for Bond refunds and our deposit system can only send funds back to original account they initially came from!* Bond refund can take 3-14 business days to return to your account after refund is completed when truck returns after subsequent hire , please allow in budgeting, see our T&Cs below for full details and exclusions. A Major Breach of Contract means a breach of any of the Clauses of the Hire Agreement Contract that constitutes Illegal or Prohibited Use, Dangerous Act, Deliberate Act, Deception, Fraud or causes Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss and you will lose your bond amount and the vehicle will be seized. 12) TOLLS - YOU MUST PAY YOUR OWN TOLLS YOURSELF!!! - You the hirer must pay all tolls during the rental period start and end date and time as per your rental agreement. To pay tolls with the LINKT system you must go to the LINKT website link below or LINKT APP and "BUY A PASS", "OPEN AN ACCOUNT" or preinstall the "LINKT GO APP" prior to hiring the Truck. All Toll notices that reach us for action and forwarding on by nomination will incur a $50 admin fee for each nomination of your unpaid tolls and $100 per Statutory Declaration required that will be deducted from your nominated CC upto 120 days after hire end date . https://www.linkt.com.au/brisbane/accounts-and-passes/help-me-chooseAlternatively if you already have an active LINKT Account you can simply login and add the hire vehicle Rego to your account for the HIRE PERIOD ONLY so then all tolls from the date and time you nominate will go straight to tour nominated LINKT account. (Mitsubishi Canter Fuso) (Iveco Daily 50C18) both car tolls. 13) PAYMENT for DRY Hired Equipment and / or Services - Preferred pickup and return timings are between 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm daily. As the hirer, you agree that payment is to be made in full at the time of commencement of hiring the equipment. Hire Payment including BOND must be paid in full before the Hire Agreement can commence and before you leave the depot when picking up, or CHEAPaWAY Employees leave the delivery address. All costs of damages and losses are to be paid in full or arrangements made with management before you leave the depot or before CHEAPaWAY Employees can leave the collection address. Payments are to be made by CASH or CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ONLY. NO CHEQUES or DIRECT DEBIT is permitted on the day unless by prior arrangements with managements.
14) PICKUP and RETURN of ALL Trucks and Hired Equipment is at 38 Queen St, Harrisville QLD 4307, 25min from Yamanto (Ipswich) off the Cunningham Hwy. *** If you fail to pickup on your appointment date and time we will send you a reminder SMS and will then call you, if you then fail to pickup the hired equipment or respond within 1 hr of original pickup time and date without communication or notification, your booking will be cancelled without further notice and you will forfeit your booking holding fee. During the day we do dry hire deliveries and pickups, and we are not available to sit at the yard waiting for you to turn up unannounced, hence why all hires are all done strictly by appointment. 15) ABUSE = ZERO TOLERANCE to Verbal and Physical Abuse - Due to the current demanding and stressful covid times there has been an increase of verbal and physical abuse to our staff that will no longer be tolerated. You as a client expect to be treated with respect and dignity without abusive or aggressive behaviour as do our staff. If you do not follow direction either verbal or written and dont read something, make a mistake, are late returning hire equipment, or you break, damage or lose something = "OWN IT".... be mad at yourself after you leave, do not take it out on our staff at our yard or on the phone. By entering into this written contract by making a “Booking Deposit Payment” or signing the “Rental Hire Agreement Contract” you agree you're are aware of this Policy and if you become abusive, aggressive and or disrespectful or raise your voice where our staff feel uncomfortable in any way, you are in "Major Breach of Contract". As per our "Privacy Policy" webpage all phone conversations are recorded and our yard has CCTV recording 24/7 and our staff may wear body cameras within this Policy. www.cheapaway.com.au/privacy-policy YOU and anyone with you will be told to leave the property immediately and if necessary QPS will be called. Normal "Client Cancellation Policies" will apply to booking clients and take affect where your booking will be cancelled, your hire fees will be forfeited from you bond and the remainder refunded back to you. For clients after Hire Return of equipment becoming abusive or aggressive will simply lose your bond entirely for "Major Breach of Contract". If you do not aggree with this policy no hire can take place and for any clarification of this Abuse Policy please direct enquiries to management in writting before comencing any booking processes or signing any contract or hiring any equipment. 6) INSURANCE, DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND INJURIES (Dry hire) - as the hirer, you are fully responsible for all damages to rental vehicles, property, services, third party property and any injuries that occur during the hire period including loss of income to CHEAPAWAY due to Trucks unhirable condition and or any downtime at the standard daily hire rate amount. ANY FAILURE to comply fully with any of the below insurance requirements during hire constitutes a MAJOR BREACH OF CONTRACT* and penalties will apply! (* see downloadable Contract T&Cs document above) FUSO PANTECH'S 265AN5, 337YJT HEIGHT IS = 3.2m (4500kg GVM). IVECO PANTECH 308VRE HEIGHT IS = 3.4m(4500kg GVM). Insurance Excess applies on motor vehicle accidents only being $2000 at fault or not. If you are found not at fault through the investigation of the insurance company you will be refunded the $2000 excess.EXCLUSIONS TO INSURANCE - The Hirer must pay for all Overhead Damage; Reversing Damage; Underbody Damage, including stone damage from unsealed roads and going off-road; Damage caused by the immersion of the Vehicle in water; all Damage arising from a Major Breach of the Rental Contract; and pay for all damages from insect, animal, bird, or object including Vandalism, Financial losses from Government imposed Sanctions or Pandemics or Epidemics, Terrorism or Act of God. NO ANIMALS, birds, fish, or reptiles are to be transported in our hire vehicle either in the Pantech or in the Cabin of the trucks. An Additional $200 cleaning fee applies in addition to the standard cleaning fee if this occurs and an such remnants is found including physical or smells in the opinion of our staff. Any animal hair, feathers or excrement due to other people’s allergies. No dangerous goods of any kind are to be transported in our vehicles, including being petrol’s, oils, lubricants, solvent’s, acids, gases or corrosives. See Hire Agreement at link below at the bottom of this section for full detail of Inclusions and Exclusions which constitutes a Major Breach of Contract. NO "DG" (Dangerous Goods) are to be put in or transported in the hired truck at any time and if needed must be transport in ANOTHER VEHICLE, this includes but is not limited to Fuels, Oils, Lubricants, Gasses, Corrosives, or chemicals of any kind. NO Children or Infants in our trucks as these are commercial vehicles with airbags and can cause injury to minors in an accident. Commercial Vehicle = 0.00 Alcohol / No Drugs, Enclosed Shoes worn at all times, No Children / Animals nor articles of Furniture or Personal Effect allowed in the Cab of the Hire Truck at any time. An additional driver is only that, and is a driver to assist you with driving (for example: long trip over multiple days or interstate). You as the hirer, must be physically in the vehicle at all time in full supervision of the addition driver whist they are driving under your hire contract agreement and you agree as the hirer, you are fully responsible for any damages, losses or third party damages, or infringements during the hire period. It is the Hirer obligation under OH&S to agree to obtain their own PPE at the hirers expense before Hiring and wear as required, including ENCLOSED SHOES or BOOTS and be fully clothed at all times during the hire period, in our vehicles, at our yard, this includes ensuring your paid or unpaid helpers wear their own required PPE (see link below). https://www.worksafe.qld.gov.au/safety-and-prevention/creating-safe-work/managing-risks/personal-protective-equipment-ppe FUSO's NOT SUITABLE FOR "GENERAL FREIGHT" = See Option 2 Truck. Fuso 515 Pantech's do not have heavy tie down points required for general freight securing and using these trucks for general freight and tying down to composite pane wall bars or rails can and will pull rails off the walls causing load shift or damage embedded fixing plates in composite board wall causing structural damage = Breach of Contract! 7) RETURNING OF TRUCKS a) Trucks must be returned by due date and time to the pickup location or fees apply. b) Trucks must be returned clean inside Cab and rear Pantech as instructed in handover brief and must be swept out before return to our yard. c) Trucks refuelled within 10km radius from depot (must produce receipt). d) All accessories refurbished as they were initially hired, being blankets folded and stack, straps and trolleys stowed as at time of pickup. e) Equipment including truck must return clean and undamaged in the same condition as at the start time of hire. f) We do not do return condition reports after hours or in low light, they will be done the next business day. g) Fees and charges applicable as per Hire Agreement Schedule, if 1-5 are not adhered to, see Hire Agreement link below. h) If you FAIL to return the truck by is contracted return date and time and/or within the 30 minutes window before the next hire period when the trucks are meant to be cleaned, sanitised and refurbished before next hire, where we cant met the next hire booked booking time and/or next booking is cancelled by the client or we have to cancel due to your actions, you will be charged the next Hirers Hire fees as scheduled due to our loss of income (see fees/charges below).
8) FEES / CHARGES - for current Pricing, please see our "Truck Hire" page from the menu bar. Fees and charge can change without notice. Day Rates are from 8am - 5pm weekdays and 8am - 5pm Weekend or Public Holidays and is the minimum charge. Overnight is an extra charge of $100 rate. Overnight is free if you hire multiple consecutive days. A credit card (or debit cards) will be required to be added to contract details at time of signing to debit and pay for any tolls or fines, all damages, and losses of equipment up to insurance excess of equipment and any refuelling of equipment. Credit Card transactions incur a 3.3% credit card fee on the total amount charged. If You return the Vehicle: (a) with a full tank of diesel, without refuelling the truck at the designated fuel stations as discussed within the 10km radius from our yard at either Peak Crossing Ampol or Willowbank United you will be charged a $56.32 refuel fee plus the fuel cost to top up the truck; (b) after the date and time set for its return in the Rental Agreement, we will charge you $25 per 30 minutes after the return time up to one full day's rental and a further full day's rental at the standard rate for each 24-hour period or part thereof until the Vehicle is returned to Us unless booked the next client hire fee charges apply; or (c) at any time, other than during Our normal business hours You must pay for the daily Rental Charges and all Damage until the Rental Location next opens for business. We do not do return condition reports in the dark or low light in the opinion of CHEAPaWAY Hire Staff. Truck Hire fees are not refunded if you willingly return the Truck early for whatever reason including act of god and you will not receive any credit towards another rehire or credit in leu. A Major Breach of Contract means a breach of any of the Clauses of the Hire Agreement Contract that constitutes Illegal or Prohibited Use, Dangerous Act, Deliberate Act, Deception, Fraud or causes Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss and you will lose your bond amount and the vehicle will be seized. 9) *DISCOUNTS = 10% Off* RACQ Members - 10% Off* Defence ADF / Emergency Services. *Off Regular Rates only, not including any other discount or specials. *To receive and be eligible to receive discount, hirer must inform staff at beginning of booking process for eligibility check, and at pickup when signing Hire Agreement Contracts, must produce "physical evidence" of a valid Membership or valid Official Government ID Cards. (Emergency Service - QPS, QAS, QFS, RFS, SES) 10) OUTSTANDING FEES / CHARGES / DEBT COLLECTION: - All hire fees and charges are to be paid upfront by the hirer or card holder before Hire. All additional fee and charges are required to be paid directly after return of the Hired Equipment. Outstanding Debt for hire fees, losses or damages - as per Hire Agreement, the Hirer or Card Holder is liable for all outstanding charges for hire fees, losses or damages at the Hirers or Card Holders expense. Fees and charges that remain outstanding require payment within 24hrs, then any outstanding fee or charges will be invoiced on a 7day invoice term attracting a $54.50 Administration Fee. Card Debit or Invoice Payment Failure will result in immediate legal financial recovery action after the required 7days and then will be sent to DEBT Collection where we will add an additional Collection Lodgement Fee of $152.70 to your account before being sent to collection. The Collection Agency then add their 33% to your account and all recovery cost including but not limited to, interest and if necessary, Bailiffs and Court cost to recover the full amount. This is agreed to by you by entering into a contract by way of payment of our "Booking Deposit" arrangements and or by the signing of our "Hire Agreement Contract" by payment default, "National Collection Services" debt recovery initiated at Hirers or Card Holders expense, including but not limited to recovery fees, collection fee, bailiff fees and Court Costs to recover all money owed. Please see your copy of the "Hire Agreement" for further information on your obligations. 11) BOOKING DEPOSIT / BOND - Booking deposit is paid upfront at time of booking by Credit or Debit Card ONLY as a booking deposit to hold/reserve the truck for you in advance and BECOMES YOUR BOND on the day and time of pickup once you sign the Hire Agreement Contract. By payment of the Holding Deposit Service Fees you agree to enter into a written contract that you are financially responsible for the truck hire and any damages either as contract vehicle driver or financial delegate or both and are liable for any damages or losses during the hire period, and that you agree you are refunded only if the Hire takes place on the original date and appointment time of hire or you can move dates with more than 48hrs notice from original pickup date and time to an available date. lf the hirer does not turn up within 30 minutes of the original booked date and appointment time, or the hirer voluntarily cancels the booking, or you book and turn up without meeting the minimum hire requirements and the booking has to be cancelled, the holding fee minus the original quoted hire fee is forfeited and the remaining amount will be refunded. The quoted hire fees forfeited will be used to recoup lost hire fees from clients that were rejected because of your existing booking. All payment cards must be linked to your accounts that can send and receive funds back for Bond refunds and our deposit system can only send funds back to original account they initially came from!* Bond refund can take 3-14 business days to return to your account after refund is completed when truck returns after subsequent hire , please allow in budgeting, see our T&Cs below for full details and exclusions. A Major Breach of Contract means a breach of any of the Clauses of the Hire Agreement Contract that constitutes Illegal or Prohibited Use, Dangerous Act, Deliberate Act, Deception, Fraud or causes Damage, theft of the Vehicle or Third Party Loss and you will lose your bond amount and the vehicle will be seized. 12) TOLLS - YOU MUST PAY YOUR OWN TOLLS YOURSELF!!! - You the hirer must pay all tolls during the rental period start and end date and time as per your rental agreement. To pay tolls with the LINKT system you must go to the LINKT website link below or LINKT APP and "BUY A PASS", "OPEN AN ACCOUNT" or preinstall the "LINKT GO APP" prior to hiring the Truck. All Toll notices that reach us for action and forwarding on by nomination will incur a $50 admin fee for each nomination of your unpaid tolls and $100 per Statutory Declaration required that will be deducted from your nominated CC upto 120 days after hire end date . https://www.linkt.com.au/brisbane/accounts-and-passes/help-me-chooseAlternatively if you already have an active LINKT Account you can simply login and add the hire vehicle Rego to your account for the HIRE PERIOD ONLY so then all tolls from the date and time you nominate will go straight to tour nominated LINKT account. (Mitsubishi Canter Fuso) (Iveco Daily 50C18) both car tolls. 13) PAYMENT for DRY Hired Equipment and / or Services - Preferred pickup and return timings are between 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm daily. As the hirer, you agree that payment is to be made in full at the time of commencement of hiring the equipment. Hire Payment including BOND must be paid in full before the Hire Agreement can commence and before you leave the depot when picking up, or CHEAPaWAY Employees leave the delivery address. All costs of damages and losses are to be paid in full or arrangements made with management before you leave the depot or before CHEAPaWAY Employees can leave the collection address. Payments are to be made by CASH or CREDIT OR DEBIT CARD ONLY. NO CHEQUES or DIRECT DEBIT is permitted on the day unless by prior arrangements with managements.
14) PICKUP and RETURN of ALL Trucks and Hired Equipment is at 38 Queen St, Harrisville QLD 4307, 25min from Yamanto (Ipswich) off the Cunningham Hwy. *** If you fail to pickup on your appointment date and time we will send you a reminder SMS and will then call you, if you then fail to pickup the hired equipment or respond within 1 hr of original pickup time and date without communication or notification, your booking will be cancelled without further notice and you will forfeit your booking holding fee. During the day we do dry hire deliveries and pickups, and we are not available to sit at the yard waiting for you to turn up unannounced, hence why all hires are all done strictly by appointment. 15) ABUSE = ZERO TOLERANCE to Verbal and Physical Abuse - Due to the current demanding and stressful covid times there has been an increase of verbal and physical abuse to our staff that will no longer be tolerated. You as a client expect to be treated with respect and dignity without abusive or aggressive behaviour as do our staff. If you do not follow direction either verbal or written and dont read something, make a mistake, are late returning hire equipment, or you break, damage or lose something = "OWN IT".... be mad at yourself after you leave, do not take it out on our staff at our yard or on the phone. By entering into this written contract by making a “Booking Deposit Payment” or signing the “Rental Hire Agreement Contract” you agree you're are aware of this Policy and if you become abusive, aggressive and or disrespectful or raise your voice where our staff feel uncomfortable in any way, you are in "Major Breach of Contract". As per our "Privacy Policy" webpage all phone conversations are recorded and our yard has CCTV recording 24/7 and our staff may wear body cameras within this Policy. www.cheapaway.com.au/privacy-policy YOU and anyone with you will be told to leave the property immediately and if necessary QPS will be called. Normal "Client Cancellation Policies" will apply to booking clients and take affect where your booking will be cancelled, your hire fees will be forfeited from you bond and the remainder refunded back to you. For clients after Hire Return of equipment becoming abusive or aggressive will simply lose your bond entirely for "Major Breach of Contract". If you do not aggree with this policy no hire can take place and for any clarification of this Abuse Policy please direct enquiries to management in writting before comencing any booking processes or signing any contract or hiring any equipment. The "Hirer's" information is also required to be transcribed to the hire agreement when the "Hirer" come to collect at your pre-arranged pickup appointment time.

We will then send the "Hirer" an Invoice link by sms with instructions where the "Hirer" will be required to, as soon as practical (within a few hours depending on how soon the hire date is away) pay the "Booking Deposit Holding Fee" to "COMPLETE THE BOOKING PROCESS" and lock in your hired equipment to the "Hirer" on the date the "Hirer" require it. The "Hirer" then must inform us via sms that they have completed the "Booking Deposit Holding Payment".
**NB: Until the "Hirer" has paid a "Booking Deposit Holding Fee" and confirmed payment to us via SMS, your booking is only "Pencilled in" as "Tentative”, and can be taken at any time prior if another hirer books and pay their "Booking Deposit Holding Fee" before you do. Unfortunately we cannot hold equipment just in case you decide to complete the "Booking Process" or not and pay the holding fee within a reasonable timeframe depending on the time until the hire date. Hiring the next day will require immediate holding fee payment. Hiring a week away will give you a day or two to pay the holding fee. There is no set timeframe given and ultimately it is up to CHEAPaWAY Staff when is a reasonable time given with reminders to give away your tentative booking. Simply put, "first in, first served".

CHEAPaWAY HIRE Pickup Process (15 - 25 minutes)
1. On the day of pickup you will park where you were directed to in your "Confirmation Booking" SMS and we will come out to you, please do not enter the property unless you are invited or you are waiting to hire one of our trucks or motorhomes.
2. Our staff will ask you for your physical Drivers Licence and Credit or Debit Card to complete the Hire contract. DRIVERS LICENCE and CREDIT (or DEBIT) CARD which are mandatory for hire contract and both physical cards and the owners of both cards must be present to sign at commencement of hiring our equipment. Clear proof of identity and current QLD residential address must be established before the hire can take place. This is for the safety and security of our staff when you attend our address to hire the equipment and it is also required for the 100 points of ID with a credit or debit card for the "Rental Hire Agreement". For Interstate Travel with our equipment you must supply a Credit Cards NOT Debit Cards for the Hire Agreement. Drivers Licence and Debit / Credit cards will be physically required to take copies of ID and BANK CARDS with the contract after you have signed the Agreement Contract as proof of ID and authorisation to Debit in the event of Losses, Damages or an accident. They will be returned to you before you leave when picking up the truck once staff have completed their processes.
3. Our staff will then go through the Inventory and Condition Report of the Hired Equipment noting and damages or missing accessories as applicable to the equipment type. Different standards of condition are acceptable between trucks to trailers to excavation equipment and party hire electrical equipment. The staff member will explain this as part of the condition report and discuss your responsibilities and what is fair wear and tear and what you will be liable for in any incident. This will include the return process and cleaning requirements as per above sections on individual hired equipment such as motorhomes, coldrooms and spit rotisseries.
4. You will then sign for the accessories of the equipment and any extras, the condition report, the contract itself and an acknowledgement to our Terms and Conditions of Hire. The Hirer will be given a copy of the signed contract pages via SMS(MMS) at the time of pickup or delivery of the Hired Equipment. 5. You will then pay "Hire Fees" in cash or card. 6. For Trucks, our staff will ask you a series of question about your experience using the vehicle and ensure you have read the safety sheet and aware of the height before you can drive the vehicle. Our Staff will then give you tips on driving the vehicle and daily maintenance. You will be told that you are responsible for your safety and everyone else in the vehicle whilst under hire and that any damages and injuries are on you the hirer. New hirers must complete a familiarisation on the equipment hired every 12mths and doesn't need to be redone again if rehired within 12mths of first hire.
7. Our staff will check your lights are working before you leave.
*** Our staff will be carrying video and audio recording devices on their person to record the complete hire process and the condition report of the hired equipment for a visual and audible record when the hirer is signing a Legal Hire Agreement.
